How to throw the best wedding party
The stress is over and the drinks are flowing, now it’s time to party into the night! This right here is the best part of it all.
But the question is, how can we throw the best wedding party ever? Here’s our top tips to get your guests partying on the dance-floor all night long.
Make sure the guests know the attire
Before your guests arrive, make sure they are well aware of the attire. You want to make sure that your guests are completely comfortable in what they are wearing. Whether your dress attire is smart casual or formal, it helps to add a little note on the invitation to say ‘you might be dancing all night long’. This is extremely helpful for your guests to know that they will need to be in danceable clothes as well as comfortable shoes! (we have a handy tip that may help this later).
The most important part, the music!
We all know the best way to get the party started is with a 10/10 party playlist.
The classics are always a hit but try and show yours and your partners music taste through your playlist, it is your wedding after all! This means swaying away from the regulars and bringing in some of your favourite party songs, maybe your guests will get a few favourites also! Switch it up, you may want to start with romance and end up with the bangers. You want the music to be the reason people stay, pump it up towards the end of the night to keep your guests dancing. Feel free to even ask your guests for song requests!
Top tip, the only thing that might restrict the dancing is your guests and your shoes! Why no keep a backup shoe for your guests to change into (flip flops are your best bet).
Keep the drinks flowing!
Whether its alcoholic or not, all your guests need a breather so keep those drinks flowing and your guests hydrated, and we can guarantee they will be dancing all night long. While they can be pricey, know that there are ways to make this work on a budget! Perhaps you can serve beer and wine with two signature cocktails or customised drinks for your wedding reception. Trust us, it makes the drink special and feel a little more personal!
Late night food
After all the alcohol and mingling, your guests might get peckish! We recommend serving some light need food to give everyone the extra burst of energy. Something small and handheld works best for the late night party animals. Have your caterers bring out sliders, fries, mini grilled cheese toasts or even donuts.
